Our Story

Our Cumnock based boutique was established in 1989 during the miner’s strikes. The store supported local families and provided high quality wool. During this historical time, knitting clothes became common in affected communities to save money on purchasing clothing. Previously known as ‘Knit One’ was an integral asset to the community during this time and the business became very successful.

 

Due to the high demand and success of 'Knit One', we further grew our market to include baby and children’s clothing, with the name changing quite cleverly to ‘Knit One Kids Too’.

'Kids Too' established in 2023 has been developed along with our 'refresh' as we launch new and exciting brands in store along side launching our very first website.

 

Our local boutique remains a large part of the community and continues to supply high quality wool with the addition of some new clothing brands. Our online sister shop provides alternative fashion trends and carefully curates outfits with our loyal customers in mind.
