Our Story

Our Cumnock based boutique was established in 1989, during the miner’s strikes, with the aim of supporting local families by providing high-quality wool. At the time, knitting clothes became a practical and affordable solution for many communities, and the demand for premium wool quickly grew, leading to great success for our store.

Due to the popularity and growing customer base of Knit One, we expanded our offering to include baby and children’s clothing. This natural progression inspired the clever name change to Knit One Kids Too.

​

Kids Too, established in 2023 as part of our brand refresh, marked an exciting new chapter with the launch of both our carefully selected new brands in-store and the debut of our very first website.

 

Our local boutique remains at the heart of the community, we continue to offer a wide range of baby and children’s clothing, alongside beautiful gifting options and our signature high-quality wool. Our website, www.kidstoo.co.uk, showcases alternative fashion trends and thoughtfully curated outfits, all designed with our loyal customers in mind.
